Kyler, listed at 5 11, 185 pounds, will eventually have to make a career choice between sports but not now.

Aggies’ Sept. 5 season opener against Arizona State at Houston’s NRG Stadium is a possibility, but no certainty. Both Murray and Allen, out of Scottsdale, Ariz., have publicly embraced the other as competition.
Allen has the benefit of going through spring workouts twice with the Aggies and starting the final five games of the 2014 season. Allen was chosen the MVP in A win in the AutoZone Liberty Bowl after a tumultuous season.
