Week 7 in the NFL marked the beginning of an NFL career for some and season ending doom for others. Many newer faces and lesser known quarterbacks have started to make a name for themselves over the last few weeks with impressive performances.
For these rankings, every current starting quarterback in theNFLwill be considered and valued through numerous categories, each weighted differently as the season progresses.
Each week, I factor in several key attributes for the quarterback position such as intelligence, arm strength, accuracy, athleticism and leadership.
Wins will also give quarterbacks a slight boost in addition to their individual performances. Personal observation and opinion will also play a key role.
In the end, the essence of a power ranking with regard to quarterbacks really come down to this question: If I needed to win one game, who would I want as my quarterback?

It didn’t take long for Brandon Weeden to make a critical error in what could have been a much more competitive game. Already down 7 0 early to the Packers, Weeden threw an interception that would put the Browns behind 14 0. He would eventually lead the team to only 13 points on the day.
After seeing what Brian Hoyer was capable of with the Browns offense, we can be much more critical of Brandon Weeden and his perpetual struggles.

42 passes against the Packers yet managed only 149 yards through the air. That shows how inept he was on Sunday, which has been the case all season long.
Three Jaguars wideouts had over 50 yards receiving against San Diego, and Henne threw for over 300 yards although he failed to lead his team into the end zone.
Hennedidn’t play half bad and was even productive enough to move up to a season high 30th on the power rankings.
At this point he’s merely auditioning for an NFL job somewhere next season.
This had to be Mike Glennon’s best game so far from a statistical standpoint even though the Buccaneers lost to the Atlanta Falcons. He ended up with 256 yards through the air with two touchdowns and zero picks.
One thing we can say with confidence about the rookie QB is that he’s aggressive. He could have been picked off at least 5 times in three quarters, but good fortune was shining down on him on this day.
Manning didn’t have amazing numbers on Monday night, but he played well enough to win against a team with only one victory to its name. Against the Vikings, he completed 23 of 39 passes for 200 yards and a single touchdown pass.
I’m not sure whether this performance should be considered a bounceback or if it was simply a game between two struggling teams where something had to give.
