While the Patriots hold steady at No. 1, the Seahawks and Broncos inch their way closer to the top in this week’s ESPN NFL Power Rankings. 2.

Methodology note: These rankings reflect who voters think would win in head to head matchups. Higher ranked teams would more often be favored against lower ranked teams. Coming off a win doesn’t guarantee a jump, and coming off a loss doesn’t guarantee a fall. When targeting his tight ends, he’s completing 82 percent of his passes. New England travels to Buffalo for a Week 8 divisional grudge match. The Bills shut out the Patriots earlier this season, but Brady wasn’t under center for that game and Rob Gronkowski wasn’t 100 percent.

2. Seattle Seahawks2016 record: 4 1 1

Week 7 ranking: 3

The Seahawks have lost only one game so far this season, but things are off cheap jerseys china
in Seattle. For starters, the team is averaging only 3.1 yards per rush this season, second worst in the NFL. A trip to New Orleans could help the Seahawks get the running game back on track.

3. Denver Broncos2016 record: 5 2

Week 7 ranking: 5

The Broncos moved into a tie with Oakland for the AFC West lead as well as improved to 5 2 after a victory over the Texans on Monday night. Denver is 5 1 with QB Trevor Siemian, who hasn’t thrown an interception since Week 2. Siemian’s one loss? The Chargers, whom Denver hosts in Week 8.

4. Dallas Cowboys2016 record: 5 1

Week 7 ranking: 4

We’ll find out soon if the Cowboys stick with Dak Prescott or go back to Tony Romo as the team’s starting QB. The decision comes at a critical time for the Cowboys, as they could take a big lead in the NFC East with a win against the Eagles in Week 8. If Romo starts, keep in mind he has won five of his past six games against Philadelphia.

5. Minnesota Vikings2016 record: 5 1

Week 7 ranking: 2

What a difference a week makes. The Vikings’ unbeaten season ended at Philadelphia, and QB Sam Bradford’s three turnovers sort of reminded us of, well, the old Sam Bradford. Can the Vikings get back on track Monday night against the 1 6 Bears?

6. Green Bay Packers2016 record: 4 2

Week 7 ranking: 10

Green Bay picked up the win in Week 7, but how long can it survive with wide receivers playing running back? The Packers got seven yards from halfbacks, which worked against the Bears, but the host Falcons will provide a much tougher test this week.

7. Arizona Cardinals2016 record: 3 3 1

Week 7 ranking: 13

The good news is the Cardinals haven’t lost games and haven’t committed a turnover in each of their past three games. But it could be tough to feel good after that Week 7 tie with Seattle. Arizona looks to get revenge on the Panthers in Carolina this week.

8. Pittsburgh Steelers2016 record: 4 3

Week 7 ranking: 7

QB Landry Jones looked pretty good Sunday until the fourth quarter, when he went 9 of 20 passing. The Steelers’ bye this week will give Ben Roethlisberger time to heal without missing a game, but Jones could be in line for a few more starts before Big Ben returns.

Fantasy FootballNFL Picks Week 6: Predicting Fantasy Studs and Winners of Biggest GamesBrian MaziqueCorrespondent IIIOctober 10, 2014There are a number of huge games on tap for Week 6 in the NFL. Division matchups and vital conference clashes that could determine tiebreakers for the playoffs are headed our way on Sunday.

When the smoke clears, the winners will be in control in their divisions or saved from a panicked fanbase for at least another week. In each of those games, and the others on the schedule, one player or unit has the potential to pay big dividends for fantasy owners.

We take a look at the upcoming schedule, pick the winners and identify the potential fantasy stud in every matchup. Louis Rams San FranciscoColin KaepernickSt. Louis gets almost no pass rush. The Falcons are one of the worst defensive teams in the NFL. Through five games, the team has a total of four sacks.

If any team gives Jay Cutler that much time to find any of the abundance of weapons he has on offense, the enigmatic quarterback should put a good number of points on the board. Multiple INTs in 3/5 games. Sounds about right.

10/6/2014, 11:38:38 PM

Sounds like an easy win for the Bears, right? Not so fast.

Chicago’s defense hasn’t proved to be wholesale jerseys
formidable when healthy, but when you consider the secondary is mangled with injuries, the prospect of facing an explosive Falcons offense becomes scarier.

Matt Ryan’s crew of Julio Jones and Roddy White is perhaps the only wide receiver tandem in the same ballpark as the Bears’ Brandon Marshall and Alshon Jeffery.

Translation: There’s going to be a lot of scoring.

The Bears are my pick only because their defensive line is more capable of making a big play to create a turnover than Atlanta’s.

Willie Young is tied for third in the NFL with five sacks, and rookie corner back Kyle Fuller is tied for the lead in interceptions with three. The two quarterbacks have both had their issues taking care of the ball, but the Eagles’ Nick Foles has really struggled recently.

After throwing just two picks all of 2013, he’s already thrown five this season and fumbled four times. The Eagles defense has bailed him out, but that can’t be counted on against a red hot Giants team.

Eli Manning threw 27 interceptions in 2013, and he began the season as if he would exceed that mark in 2014. He threw four picks in the team’s first two games. Since then, Manning has thrown just one interception, and the Giants are on a three game win streak. He’s leading one of the most balanced offenses in the NFL, and the Cowboys have won four in a row. It not about them. Quarterback Russell Wilson continues to show just how good he is in the clutch, but the Seattle defense isn’t as fierce this season.

Last year’s team only allowed five opponents to score 20 points against it all season. In 2014, opponents are averaging 20.75 points against Seattle.

With DeMarco Murray pounding away on the ground, and Dez Bryant and Jason Witten providing targets for Romo, Dallas’ offense will make the plays necessary to slay the champs at home.

The ‘Boys highlight my list of teams with the hardest schedules in large part because of their division. The NFC East has no easy outs. The division also faces tough non conference games against a similarly deep AFC West. And the Cowboys finish with three out of four games on the road, the only home December date coming against Seattle.

The NFL schedule is nearly impossible to handicap in April, but Dallas’ slate has few weak spots. Football Outsiders ranks the Cowboys’ schedule as the toughest in football. There are five Cowboys prime time games and they will probably be flexed into a sixth, leading to some funky travel weeks.

The biggest schedule losers were apparent well before Thursday’s release. The best two divisions on paper the AFC West and NFC East face off against each other. That will result in few walkovers for the Redskins, Eagles and Giants. They all have schedules ranked among the seven toughest slates in the league, according to Football Outsiders.

The Eagles should be especially ornery. The team starts with two road games (at Washington and Kansas City) and then draws the dreaded three game road swing in December, with two straight coming on the West Coast in Seattle and Los Angeles. (New England, Atlanta, Minnesota, Cincinnati, Denver and San Francisco are the other teams with three game “road trips.”) The Eagles also drew the Christmas night short straw with a home game against Oakland. Get those tired Santa jokes ready now!

Get ready for a lot of Andy Reid, Alex Smith, Tyreek Hill and Travis Kelce in your life. The Chiefs are in prime time six times, including five times in the first eight weeks of the season. They drew perhaps the toughest assignment of the season Week 1 in Foxborough and have to play in Oakland and Dallas on short weeks. The Chiefs have the fourth hardest slate, according to Football Outsiders.

As alluded to above, every AFC West rep could fit on this list because the division is so deep, although the Broncos have to like four of their first five games coming at Mile High.

The Browns represent the other four NFL teams that have to give up a home game to play abroad. It’s a significant disadvantage, especially for a Browns squad that will only play in Cleveland three authentic jerseys for cheap
times after Week 7. Hue Jackson’s untested quarterback to be named later starts out of the gate with division rivals Pittsburgh and Baltimore, and closes the season with two road games. The AFC North schedule is difficult, especially when Cleveland is the only team in the division that doesn’t get to play Cleveland. Finally, the Browns and Jaguars suffer the indignity of being the only two squads without a prime time game scheduled. That’s a bummer for fans.

The other teams that are giving up home games to travel to London: the Jags, Dolphins and Rams. Losing a home game is a certain detriment. Very little else about the schedule can be written in stone in April. Some of the matchups that look great now can take on a much different feel when injuries and reality strike. The teams on this list can only hope their schedules don’t play out as difficult as they first appear.

It was a beautiful scene for New Orleans faithful, not all that long ago: The Saints, formerly the ‘Aints, finally lifted the Vince Lombardi Trophy and were Super Bowl champions at the end of last season. Long years of suffering had ended, and what a celebration it was. Those people who were fortunate enough to make it down to “Lombardi Gras,” as it was known, witnessed a celebration unlike any other.Arguably the biggest reason for the success of the Saints organization for the last few years had been the play of quarterback Drew Brees, who vaulted himself wholesale authentic nfl jerseys
into the discussion of “greatest QB in the NFL” with the big win and removed himself from the Dan Marino led list of men who played the position and did it well but never won an NFL title. The rings that are now worn by members of that Saints team make it difficult to argue that any other team was better than it was last year. But a tall task an almost impossible task, even is ranking quarterbacks across time.I have ranked the top 100 quarterbacks in NFL history, and because I’m writing the article, I get the privilege of unilaterally deciding who was better than who. My opinions are not scientific, and while I have done a fair amount of research in putting this list together, I am 100 percent sure that no one else on this planet would have exactly the same list as me chiefly because not everyone will use my criteria.Keep in mind that the only active players who rank highly on the countdown have enjoyed long and accomplished careers. I’m not averse to putting “young guns” on the list, but I won’t jump Joe Flacco to No. 45 just because I’m a Ravens fan and think/hope/pray he will have a great career. As a general rule, things I value most on a player’s resume are clutch plays and championships. I can appreciate a guy who lights up the stat sheet, but as a general rule, I tend to say, “So, if he was really that good, why didn’t he win?”It might not be fair, and I’m not going to pretend that there’s no bias at all in this article. But if you don’t like my list, there are always spaces to comment and “write” buttons.Aaron Brooks played his college ball at the University of Virginia, and when he entered the league as a fourth round draft pick, he was initially backing up Brett Favre and Matt Hasselbeck. Brooks played most of his career with the New Orleans Saints he held most franchise passing records at the time of his retirement, though he also played for the Oakland Raiders. 2003 was statistically his best year.Brooks was really good when he was on, but he could also be really bad when he was off, as evidenced by the fact that he threw 22 interceptions in the 2001 season.56.5 percent completion percentage123 TD passes92 INT20,261 career passing yards78.5 passer ratingOf all the good Cowboys quarterbacks, Don Meredith is probably the one who is most frequently forgotten. Meredith played for nine seasons under Tom Landry. Meredith was a great player who consistently led the Cowboys to good seasons, but he suffers in the ratings for his losses to Vince Lombardi’s Packers in the 1966 and 1967 championship games the latter being the famous “Ice Bowl” in Green Bay.50.7 percent career completion percentage
